So, after all this time I have finally tried again the film blogging, which I did start a couple of months ago and left behind. For the latter I certainly apologize and most of all I regret it. The things a man starts, should be carried on or specifically and reasonably finished.
However, I haven't finished with watching movies :) and certainly not with writing about them.
And I picked a great movie to start all over again. Well, my site is in Slovene, which for some is not that great, but I can write about some of my articles/texts here, so that non-slovene readers might get a glimpse of what I am writing about. The movie I watched right before starting the film blogging again is 'Skyfall'.
I am not telling you, who is playing Bond and who are the girls, especially not who is the bad guy. I am probably also not telling you anything about the story and how is the ending. Mostly, I will be oriented in the other, for some viewers not intersted or maybe important things.
Bond is back, and in style. Sam Mendes did a great job in patching what the previous 007 movie ruined. It was a bitter end after 'Quantum of Solace' and everybody felt it and knew about it. And the expectations for 'Skyfall' were enormous. And the movie didn't fail.
Not only Mendes brought back the Bond legacy to its previous high quality, it brought it back to basics: the length of the movie was again of around 150 minutes, the less importance of the gadget, the old-style car used to go to Scotland to hide before the bad guy...Most of it it is not just going back to basics, but giving tribute to the movie. Especially, when Daniel Craig says: "we are going back in time", before using the car. Back in time, tributing the first and charming Bonds and at the same time saying the 007 legacy is endless and timeless. In this way, contributing to an everlasting continuation of one of the most heroic and intriguing characters of 20th century movie sphere.
