How Noah struck you?

I saw Noah in one of the Slovene theathres, right before the actual premiere. Had the luck of many journalists :)
Anyway, the movie was quite astonishing and at the same it left me thinking and with mixed feelings. Didn't know wether to dislike it or like it.

Before I would like to continute on speaking about it, I would ask you dear moviebuffs...if you have already seen the movie Noah, what was you first reaction or thought upon it...tell me

A new start

So, after all this time I have finally tried again the film blogging, which I did start a couple of months ago and left behind. For the latter I certainly apologize and most of all I regret it. The things a man starts, should be carried on or specifically and reasonably finished.
However, I haven't finished with watching movies :) and certainly not with writing about them.
And I picked a great movie to start all over again. Well, my site is in Slovene, which for some is not that great, but I can write about some of my articles/texts here, so that non-slovene readers might get a glimpse of what I am writing about. The movie I watched right before starting the film blogging again is 'Skyfall'.
I am not telling you, who is playing Bond and who are the girls, especially not who is the bad guy. I am probably also not telling you anything about the story and how is the ending. Mostly, I will be oriented in the other, for some viewers not intersted or maybe important things.
Bond is back, and in style. Sam Mendes did a great job in patching what the previous 007 movie ruined. It was a bitter end after 'Quantum of Solace' and everybody felt it and knew about it. And the expectations for 'Skyfall' were enormous. And the movie didn't fail.
Not only Mendes brought back the Bond legacy to its previous high quality, it brought it back to basics: the length of the movie was again of around 150 minutes, the less importance of the gadget, the old-style car used to go to Scotland to hide before the bad guy...Most of it it is not just going back to basics, but giving tribute to the movie. Especially, when Daniel Craig says: "we are going back in time", before using the car. Back in time, tributing the first and charming Bonds and at the same time saying the 007 legacy is endless and timeless. In this way, contributing to an everlasting continuation of one of the most heroic and intriguing characters of 20th century movie sphere.

The addiction to Breaking Bad

3/5/2012

I have never suffered for such addiction towards a series since X-Files. Breaking Bad is known throughout the world with its uncanning and almost unbelievable tale of a under-average man becoming something dangerous for society.
The series has given me the feeling I was lacking for a long time: the constant wish for new excitement in the movie sphere. I couldn't find any other interesting product, which would throw me off my chair and give me the satisfaction an old school movie did give in its old days to the audience.
Usually, some sort of reviews (which this blog update is not) would appear after seeing the movie, but the problem of the series is they are made of several movies and there is the question: wiritng about it at the end of an episode, season or the whole series is over? I guess the shorter the better for th reviewer :)
Anyway, there have been already 4 seasons and all of them quite impressive and exceptionally building suspense. I admit the up-coming fifth season should be a treat to all the fans of Breaking Bad, which might be an even harder job for the whole movie team, since everone is expecting the best season ever.
The whole thing about this post is mostly about giving a nice word about a successful and qualitative content, which at first seems 'manly-like', but it is actually close to everone. All people can identify themselves in William, Skyler or Jesse - being put in a difficult position, where the worst thing to do is the salvation. We just didn't try the worst thing. Maybe, we never will, if put in such difficult situations. Somebody else does this, as usual. Somebody on TV.
If you still haven't, watch Breaking Bad, from the beginning and slowly soak up all its anger. And real emotions.  While the others - just be patient :)

First post ever as a movie blogger on this site

Exactly, the new post in the new blog. I guess, I should be writing this blog in English, because it seems right this way. Maybe some of the posts shall be written in Slovene, but as the whole other site is, I think I could easily come along with English.
I shall use this space to write about topics which arise during watching new and old movies. Perhaps, also consider new ways of connecting with readers and accepting comments or suggestions.

Let's all watch a movie now. Just to feel the rhytm :)
